It’s had pretty lousy reviews, and that title makes no sense

the title does make sense in the context of the film

Kermode proper gushed about it, and the way he spoke about it made it seem way bigger and better than it was. If it wasn’t Carol Morley, reckon he’d have been more down on it

FFS how petty

‘But now Picturehouse is insisting on the UK’s full theatrical window of 16 weeks before a film can transition to other platforms. Given Curzon’s strategy of releasing titles simultaneously on Curzon Home Cinema, the two brands are essentially playing by different rulebooks, and Picturehouse is no longer screening Curzon films.’

I’m very excited to see Being Frank tonight. @roastthemonaspit @jimmyhuntspill , eager to hear what you both think?

I saw it a few months back at LFF and adored it. Makes use of the wealth of archive footage at his disposal and comes from a place of love without shying away from the darker side of Chris’ personality.

Not seen it, but voted for it as the one I want to see most from the list.

Basically the poll is Brexit, and I am Russia.

I’d stretch that to all biopics tbh

really like that bit in Karsten Lundqvist’s video on music biopics where he does his impression of the “recreating this amazing moment from the studio” moment – https://youtu.be/-8Gw7-XIrwc?t=153

also I quite like that Adam Driver is Jarmusch’s new go-to bc he rlly looks like John Lurie

Just finished watching this on Amazon, it was absolutely lovely.

Rewatched Drive on Mubi.

Its still really great.

Still only seen the first one! Once I finish the Fast & Furious films (just 7 & 8 to go) I’ll get cracking.

Yeah I’ve seen the first one and both the Creeds, bit nothing else. Looking forward to them getting increasingly ridiculous.

(F&F7 was on TV last night!)
