Real club. Too naturally, poetically Scottish to be made up. You can tell a town’s fictional if they sound like they’re trying too hard to impersonate the local accent, like Pontypandy.

Did end up watching a bit of the Dortmund game on Saturday out of curiosity, and couldn’t shake the feeling of how rocking the ground would be in that situation normally, and how sad it felt devoid of any of that. I think I’d be up for watching and getting invested in a much worse standard of league if there was a way of getting fans in, but it just feels a bit grim without :frowning:

Got really into the last 20 minutes or so of the Leipzig game.

Dunno if it’s because I play Sunday league or because I support Fulham but I didn’t find it that strange to see a competitive game without a crowd or atmosphere.

Obviously not as good and will be very odd for the big finals and stuff but I’ll definitely catch a game per weekend

I think a game that I’m actually invested in will be different and I’ll definitely be able to look past the weirdness of no crowds, the games that are the equivalent of “on in the background on Super Sunday” are a write-off without crowds though tbh

I mean, that’s a big part of the issue with watching the Bundesliga this weekend. I was watching games I’d usually have zero interest in watching, without a crowd, which turned out to be shit matches on top of that, and yet expecting to be entertained. I was nae, but it’s no surprise.

Beyond the actual crowd thing, what I didn’t like about the games this weekend is that I don’t like seeing people not distancing like that (like players competing for the ball, etc). Can’t get used to it with the situation as it is. All sitting apart in the dugout, then on the pitch running about as normal.
