Iā€™ve never met any of my music heroes. If I was to talk to Alan Sparhawk from Low Iā€™d probably be equally tonguetied (and heā€™d be equally awkward).

Meeting someone whose music you kind-of like a bit is even worse. I bumped into Badly Drawn Boy in the queue for the chip van at Green Man a few years back. I couldnā€™t exactly say ā€œHiā€¦ The Hour Of The Bewilderbeast was pretty good albeit rambling in parts and I havenā€™t bothered with your more recent releasesā€. Canā€™t remember what I said in the end.

I was at the anniversary of the anti fascist Cable Street thing a few weeks back, and both the guy from Jesus and Mary Chain AND the guy from Primal Scream was stood behind me. But I donā€™t really like either of them so didnā€™t say anything.
Edit: in fact I quite wanted to tell bobby thing primal scream were/are terrible and to stop but didnā€™t want to cause a scene.
