honestly think if you get angry about whether eSports, darts, snooker, pool etc are a ‘sport’ or a ‘game’ you’re probably the type of person that thinks that the BBC shouldn’t cover women’s football

People seem to really struggle with the idea something they don’t like can be a sport, which is weird given that rugby has been around for decades now.

Who gives a fuck, it’s just a label. It’s like people who get really caught up on whether or not something is post-hardcore or DC emo or midwest crycore.
That said, it probably pisses off the football lads more to say that League of Legends is a sport, so: it’s a sport.

There’s a good explanation on the BBC page. It’s pretty much the same as football except in League the fans aren’t as into cosplay as football fans.

People enjoy to watch it, skill and hard work is involved to be good enough to play competitively so good on them, I guess adding an e before sport makes it distinct from Olympics type sport which is ok
