Tambor basically sounds like Hank Kingsley, only talented.
Didnāt do himself many favours in that interview.
Michael Ceraās probably really relieved he wasnāt at that interview
āIāve made a huge mistakeā¦ā
Thatās a pretty grim read. Feels like none of the men are backing up Walter and just want to jump to Tamborās defence, despite Walter literally being in tears. Good on Alia Shawkat for standing her ground though.
I expect this sort of crap from David Cross, less so from Tony Hale though
Iām still watching season 5, mind you.
That āshe didnāt give it up for anybody elseā line looked bad written down, I thought it might make more sense as audio.
Narrator: he was wrong
So much of that is terrible, but this took the cake
BATEMAN: Not to say that you know, you [Walter] had it coming. Butā¦
What a fucking shitty way to start any part of that dialogue. Thereās a very distinct sense that AD is pretty much all the legacy that Bateman has and heās determined to keep it clean. Fuck him very much in particular.
Listened to a really in-depth interview with Bateman at the weekend tracing back his whole career, it was the first time Iād really seen/heard him out of character and he came across as someone very, very calculated and very self-preserving. I guess the child-actor to adult-actor transition can mess people up but I got the sense that he has learned how to PR himself so well that he appears very callous. Didnāt seem to be anything even remotely genuine about him from the interview and this seems a lot like someone trying desperately to maintain a veneer of respectability about himself and the show in a really, really badly misjudged way.
Good point. His niche is being an everyman, a bit like Martin Freeman, and to be accepted playing that character he has to come across as just a lovable, average guy. But the more you look into his background, the more you realiseā¦ thatās not really him at all.
Urgh.
So heās essentially Michael Bluth
eurgh, thatās pretty fucking grim. shame on all the men, fucking cowardly and pathetic.
I saw someone on Twitter pointing out that even on a season 3 episode DVD commentary the guys are pretty dickish towards Jessica Walter
Well, heās not wrong (now)
This is good about it:
So bummed about all of this
