Agreed

i did have the second and third but haven’t listened to them in years.

I really hope this is a troll… otherwise I’m giving up music

Edit: response to the original post

I didn’t realize I did this so much. I tried my best to omit ones where I tried the other albums once or heard singles enough to determine I didn’t like them (aka Local Natives - Hummingbird vs. the rest of theirs).

Feeder - Polythene
Monster Magnet - Spine of God
Jesu - Silver EP
Black Rebel Motorcycle Club - Howl
Sneaker Pimps - Becoming X
Notwist - Close to the Glass
British Sea Power - The Decline of British Sea Power
Bloc Party - Silent Alarm***
Bardo Pond - Lapsed
Lower Dens - Escape from Evil

*** Making fun of The Love Within doesn’t count

oof no In/Casino/Out and Acrobatic Tenement are great

Oh come on!

first album isn’t an essential but the 3rd is well worth a listen (it’s my favourite)

It’s not a troll, I’ve heard (and quite like) other songs by them but no more than like 2-3 from the other albums. But haven’t bothered listening to any of the other albums as of yet. Is it really that weird?

Edit: Checked my Spotify. Other songs I have saved are Flux, Hunting for Witches, One More Chance and Rachet. Would struggle to name another Bloc Party song outside those and Silent Alarm of course

he was replying to the Pixies one, which is unacceptable. the Bloc Party one is perfectly understandable!

Oh!! I’ve had a mare there hahaha sorry @mouth_breather I was gonna say, based on what people have told me I’m hardly missing much

Re Richmond Fontaine, go for Winnemucca and Post To Wire, which I reckon are their best two. The Fitzgerald is good as well, but it’s a bit different, all acoustic and low key, think Nebraska compared to, say, Darkness.

Try Thirteen Cities and Winnemucca.
Edit: Plus what @riverwise says

2003-2014 output of The Electronic Six gets Gunty Approval! :+1:

Also - ah come on now, half of the albums trom that period are fanbase-only releases, not déigned for Johnny Public’s consuumption

I used to be like you, but it turns out they mostly do great albums. You Fail Me is incredible as is the latest one

Frank Black - Honeycomb

Good evening pentagon and can I say how wonderful it is to see a DiSer showing mild interest in The Electoral Six. It may disappoint or excite you to learn that there is no album which replicates the sound of Fire, which is simple straightforward silly BANGERS. TE6 move in various directions throughout the years but of course the songs themselves continue to be silly and catchy. I can certainly throw together a playlist of some jams from their first decadent decade if that’s what you’re after.

This is probably the most well known TE6 song after Fire. I hope that you have an enjoyable four minutes listening to this:

Talk to you soon!

The stench of apathy emanating from this post has rendered me nauseous. We shall continue to be sworn enemies for another day.
