Just gotta say all your hobbies sound great and I hope you aren’t really ashamed by them.

I’m developing the full set of age-appropriate hobbies - have a stamp collection (and generally collect lots of really specific things), love doing the cryptic crossword, am getting really into learning about birds and can’t go for a walk without stopping and standing under a tree to listen to a bird and try and see it/figure out what it is.

Yeah i play some online football management game (Soccermanager - an online and free equivalent of those old play by mail games) and I suspect most of the other players are about 12 but it gives me a huge sense of achievement when I beat them

nah. even my comic book collection feels mainstream these days. boardgames are enjoying a renaissance. video games are if anything boring to like. rare book collecting is looked on relatively fondly. art collecting always has been.

my wife has an amusing ‘guilty pleasure’ affinity for Sylvanian Families as of extremely recently which has been making me grin a bit

Reckon I could get well into bird watching. Saw a yellow wagtail the other day, which I haven’t seen in a while (are they still rare?), and exclaimed to my family who were all “oh, right…”

I did this for a couple of years with some old colleagues. To the point where I was close to getting the bonus for logging on every day for 3 years, so gace my brother my password so he could log in for me whilst I was on holiday in New York.

Got promoted to the point where people were chucking in stupid money to be competitive so let it slide.

Not sure I have proper hobbies, bit sad really. Watch NFL / college football, but it’s very passive. Same with playing video games, who doesn’t? It’s basically watching TV these days. Not even that fussed by beer at the moment.
