Since his recall in May 2018, Jos Buttler has made more 50+ scores in than any England batsman in Tests and has a higher average (36.51) than anyone in the current side.

Interesting stat from the BBC report on today’s play, though probably says more about the rest of the batting line than about Jos.

On that basis, we’re only a few runs short of expectations give long term batting averages (about 280). That Woakes is only slightly behind the top order with about half the matches played is a real concern.
