(again: this is a facetious argument anyway)

Well you could…

Been watching Black Mirror again?

I used to think it was a bit scummy to consume something before you’ve paid for it and then I had a kid. OK, it’s maybe still a bit scummy, but I don’t GAF. I always bring a snack when we go out to the shops in case to distract, but you can guarantee that your wild 2 year old isn’t going to want whatever you’ve packed and it needs to be the thing they are fixating on in the biscuit aisle, and my view of shopping where a tantrum is on the cards is ‘take the path of least resistance’. It helps now that Tesco give a free piece of fruit to every kid that can be eaten while shopping, but my boy can put away a banana in about 3 minutes flat and I need more time than that to do the shopping, so a completely unsuitable treat it is.

Thankfully you’re no longer a toddler though.

the other exception I think is people who have low blood sugar for any reason.

I don’t think I’ve ever had a supermarket cookie. but this thread has made me want one even though they sound too hard.

Guys this is about cookie injustice. We aren’t going to get anywhere if we don’t work together. Please unite under my leadership. Swear your allegiance to me.

I tried to steer back on to cookies, sorry lonzo.

Do you think there’s such a think as TOO gooey a cookie? I had a tim hortons a few weeks ago and thought it was too sickly.

I bake these ones that have golden syrup in them and if they’re undercooked they’re literally inedible. Not because of the taste, but logistically.

Yeah, watching kids manipulate their parents is one of the few pleasures of going to a supermarket.

You’re not giving them a screwed up empty wrapper. You’ve given them a packet of cookies minus one cookie.

Also, self service tills.

Get a grip honestly.

I only buy them when they’re on offer so I don’t care tbh.

In fairness I am/was giving them empty wrappers

I was about to say ‘well I should jolly well think that the poor teachers will care about having to get these kids out of their pyjamas and put them into uniform’ and then I got it.

Expected item not in bagging area!

Why does it bother you that people live their lives how they do?

I know but that’s when you say “I ate that”

or you’ve got yourself a great way of stealing some pine nuts.
