Potentially a naive point here but how are the UKBA supposed to distinguish between EU Citizens resident in the EU who have not applied for the settlement scheme and EU Citizens just arriving in the UK if Patel’s plans were to pass?

Edit: Seems like I’m not the only person asking this.

I would class myself as a remainer, but not a Remainer. A remainer voted to remain and still wants to enact policies that will overturn that shit, fundamentally, but a Remainer pays £500 a month to fund an out-of-tune 23-year-old’s gap year so she can use antiquated racial terminology

Ok, Corbyn’s a brexiteer, then.

There’s a huge difference between people like posters on this board who voted Remain and people who have #FBPE in their Twitter profiles and keep painting themselves in the EU flag and never forget to tune in to James O’Brien

This lot, basically:

You’re picking a fight and not really engaging in a good-faith way at all here, aren’t you?

This is all so fucking tedious

Can Ireland invade and starve us all to death already

For as long as he plans to enact Brexit, I’m content to call Corbyn a B/brexiteer. I’ve no qualms about that at all.

Genuinely fucking lolsome that after 3 pissing years Boris’s big idea is ireland also brexit

I think he’s just trying to come out with the most ridiculous proposals ever at the point so that it looks like Ireland/the EU are being overly stubborn.

Yes, we gathered.

He plans to hold a general election and campaign for a second referendum on it. Not sure what more you could reasonably want than that?

As I say, I support his proposal.

I don’t want or need anything more from him than that.

If he wants to support his Brexit against Remain in said referendum that’s up to him.

Can you see how the combination of these two things would make you sound a bit unreasonable, then?

He doesn’t though?

Corbyn’s plans are ‘let Britain decide between Remain and a deal’. He’s literally leaving it up to the public.

Be honest did you purposefully use a twitter link with no comment to make that point

I saw this so now you all have to

It’s Ok, we’ve all been despairing over it in the Simpsons thread

Not really, no.

Johnson seems hell-bent on No Deal (gonna be a hell of an about turn off he switcheroos). Corbyn’s proposal, as of now, is the most realistic chance of averting that.

The referendum proposal is there because he knows the GE proposal is dead in the water without it.

And ‘let Britain decide between Remain and a deal’ is not the same as supporting Remain.
