I mean on the one hand it could be the ruthless egomaniac who is pursuing No Deal because he thinks it would personally serve his career, but on the other hand it’s equally likely that it’s the fault of people who have tried to stop that from happening. I am very intelligent.

Yeah don’t worry, give the right wing media a few months and this graph will be turned exactly on its head.

Although subtract the media, obviously.

yup. had quite mixed feelings at the time watching it fail as i couldn’t shake the feeling that we were gonna end up with No Deal. i’d have happily taken May’s deal just for the backstop.

Is it?

According to a Downing Street spokesperson: ā€œThe Government’s number one legislative priority - if a new deal is forthcoming at European Council - is to introduce a Withdrawal Agreement Bill and move at pace to secure its passage before 31 October.ā€

Well if they said it then it must be true.

Not going to happen, wouldn’t worry about it.

Yes but it wasn’t prorogued to quell dissent for an unpopular decision.

There’s the next thread title

John Bercow is upset: ā€œthis move represents a constitutional outrage. However it is dressed up it is blindingly obvious that the purpose of prorogation now would be to stop Parliament debating Brexit and performing its dutyā€

Speak for yourself.

I don’t agree with what he’s saying but I don’t think it’s offensive, and it represents what a lot of " normal " voters do quite likely believe.
Also, as you say it’s a music internet forum, not a politics one. If you’re going to have a politics thread on a music forum, then are you saying it has to be immune to any kind of criticism of Corbyn?

If he really upsets you that much then ignore him. If we are saying that his past behaviour means that he is not welcome here, then the mods need to discuss that and perhaps have him banned for life, Otherwise, he has as much right as anybody to post his opinion here unless the content breaches the community rules.

think it has already been decided he is banned for life though if it is him

So is this just a dastardly trap to get rid of pesky REMOANER MPs by making them show their hand ahead of a general election, which **BOZZER ā€œBRAVE NO DEAL WHAT A TOP LADā€ BORIS ** can sweep home with a pro no-deal majority, aided by a score of Brexit partyanites including the Rt Hon Nigel Farage MP?

I kind of think any user that has been banned that comes back with a new username should be automatically re-banned (if it is certain it is them), if they want to come back they should ask to be unbanned under their original username so a decision can be made to let them back or not, new usernames is just evading the banning system. think with CG there was a lot of debate, he has been banned so many times it has to stick

It has been discussed, and it was decided a while back to ban him for life, for abusive and racist behaviour. He was given umpteen chances during DiS’s more shall we say lenient years, and his pattern never changed: Make ā€˜reasonable’ posts like the ones above, then steadily ramp up until he’s dogwhistling about muslims and immigrants. We don’t need it.

Robert Peston (yeah, I know) claims a source inside number 10 has told him the government won’t respect a vote of no confidence and will just stay in power. Time to get your rioting boots out of the loft folks.

not too dissimilar from what has happened in Venezuela tbh - though in a different sequence
