Yeah - the book has been huge, they could have made a lot of money giving it a cinema release rather than dumping it on streaming
There have been so many books that started off as fanfiction, it’s kind of crazy to me tbh
It’s more just quite funny to think of someone stripping all the SW stuff out of that and it being a straight contemporary novel because it feels like popular FanFic should surely be quite embedded in the world it takes place in…
At least in the case of FSoG the Twilight world is our world with vampires and was already a romance story so I could see how you might not have too much trouble adapting it as a straight romance book.
Sometimes it would almost be worth the hassle of living in London.
