How much do Brighton fans have to pay up front as their ā€œbalanceā€?

Weā€™d be deducting each game for the Ā£510. Just Ā£510 seems high when realistically youā€™ll only get Ā£100 worth of tickets.

Ā£200 would be more than enough as a starting balance from each fan, which I wouldnā€™t have such a problem with.

Do you mean discovery rights? There were rumours that Sporting KC had Messiā€™s rights, but apparently some players are ā€˜undiscoverableā€™ so no one does. Philadelphia managed to have Zlatanā€™s (I think it was them) and actually got some cash from LA Galaxy as a result.

Itā€™s further complicated by the fact that the league can intervene and send players to teams against their wishes.

Obviously this doesnā€™t help with the leagues joke league/retirement league image. One of the main reasons MLS doesnā€™t really resonate with the Latino audience is covets is credibility. TV audiences have plateaued, despite match attendance being up. Current deal is only worth 90m a season split between 26 teams.

Heā€™s a gbol, he only became a full back last year, but adapted really well and became our most reliable performer. I think heā€™ll be pretty good!

14m rising to 16m seems like a good deal for us. Another success story from the academy, just a shame we are just as far away from getting promoted as ever :frowning:

Ohhh they collectively have a national deal and then independently sell to their local tv markets. I think all the sports here do something similar. The fire used espn for local games last year and this year switched to a local station, WGN, which massively increases their exposure - which is way more important than the money they receive tbh.

The game changer is amazon potentially getting involved. They took the Sounders local games that arenā€™t nationally televised.
