The inevitable starting to happen.

In an area with probably the starkest contrast in finances from the top to the bottom in the shortest distance in the country.

Yeah similar thing happened with Jeremy Ngakia for us.

We offered a 3 year deal, double wages, pretty
much guaranteed start etc - turned it down with talk of interest from Spurs and Liverpool… Now sounds like he’s signing for Watford.

Read this and looked up the Everton squad…I think they have 15 players that cost £20m or more.

Anyone born in the North is entitled to Irish citizenship so yeah. Shane Duffy and James McClean both played at youth levels for the North before switching to the Republic.

was just putting together a historic all ireland team - apart from george best, who else would be an upgrade for the republic?

I mean if Northern Ireland ‘fans’ would stop sending death threats and bullets to the Catholic and nationalist background players who DO opt to play for them then maybe fewer lads would play for the Republic.

Every summer since after the first Martinez season they’ve spent loads on players, had their squad massively hyped up and then by xmas they’re 12th and everyone’s calling their manager a fraud
