Seems so weird that a) Juve would let him go b) Everton were the only club in for him

Before we all tuck in to the BIG match today, here’s some Tennis Borussia Berlin content

In big league news, Dortmund beat Bayern 2-0 in the DFB Super cup (their charity shield) which is v good news indeed. Yer boy Sancho assisted one and scored the other.

I call it:

  • The Charity Shield
  • The Community Shield
  • The “traditional curtain raiser”
  • A glorified friendly

In other big league news Ajax didn’t have a great start to the season as they could only draw away against Vitesse (2 - 2). However, not a complete disaster as their fellow title challengers PSV also recorded a draw (1 - 1) away at FC Twente.

No buy back is the oddest thing

Although I imagine Kean wanted to leave after the shite Chiellini said after he was racially abused

They’re so far ahead of the competition that it barely matters but… some signs that the well oiled machine at Juve is getting a bit rusty? Or that they’re just struggling to meet FFP?

While I doubt it’ll work out for United, the proposed Dybala-Lukaku swap doesn’t represent a good deal for them, the Spinazzola-Pellegrini swap was a downgrade, selling Kean for £29m seems a bit rash, they’ve stockpiled about 12 international midfielders that they signed for “free” on massive wages, and the Ronaldo deal could well be seen as putting commercial interests ahead of those on the pitch by the end of it.

Or a Mitro, in old money.

I’ve got a lot of time for Ashley Young, but having him as club captain is really scraping the barrel.

they should make Maguire captain

Will be the natural choice after he drags us to the title with a season of slabheaded but lionhearted performances

his agent should have made it a condition of sale, like Pogba’s agent should have 3 seasons ago

No buy back? Something weird about that

They have a Fabregas style “first option” on him, but that won’t guarantee them a decent price

Everton have quietly had a pretty good transfer window eh?

Could crack the top 6 this season or maybe next

Someone said this about Everton every pre-season ever

#Pogstays if this is the case. Gonna be a disaster

We created next to nothing from open play and had a midfield like Swiss cheese even with Gueye plugging holes.

Signed some decent players, but doesn’t feel like they’ve addressed any of the real needs.
