This would be great, but on the other hand the far right would have a field day so…hmm

Past the point of no return either way aren’t we?

But my point being I don’t think everyone who wants to remain (on twitter or not) is necessarily to blame for this situation.

Best thing about Brexit has been people responding with the partridge shrug gif every time a lesser known mp tweets anything

All other times it was ‘we must follow the will of the people’ and now it’s ‘I’ll take the ball home then if you don’t like my deal’.

Enjoyed this.

And Hitler said he’d stop a Poland.

If we brexit it’s the start of the far right not the end.

Michael Gove will be prime minister in a few weeks and we’ll Brexit with no deal, and we’ll all be given a fishing boat to celebrate.

I dunno, still seems to be on the table from Europe. Could just really imagine a huge turn of the tide from the public once things start to get serious, the general public is so fickle and never really demands consistency (all the examples where there have been outcry over things which are the result of policies they have supported, they never take responsibility for their part they just think politicians should fix it), probably wishful thinking

Hope he doesn’t buy the Queen a new boat

Precisely what I just said, Michael Gove will prop up May as prime minister for a few months and we’ll Brexit with a terrible deal, and we’ll all be given a fishing boat to celebrate.

One boat for all of us, yeah? Ticketing system like at the cheese counter or Clarks.

Reckon if there was going to be a mass public realisation that this is a terrible idea it would have already happened

If we’re going to fish our way out of trouble we’ll need a boat each, every man woman and child.

This is true, but wasn’t the original conversation about FBPE types? Obviously still tarring a wider group with one brush isn’t really right, but I think there’s probably some truth to the original assertion about that group.

As mentioned way up thread (so easily missed, tbf), she did actually use those words back at the beginning of October.

Saying it on Wednesday night seems to be the first time the commentariat actually noticed though - which is a little odd, as they’re grasped it as a supposed example of May’s Remainer instincts compared to Corbyn, something they’d not usually miss.
