“we’ve got a tesco in Padstow”

fun fact: I used to work nights in that tescos. It was lovely seeing the sun rise over the harbour when I got off work.

This is hurtful. Gonna go home and cry

Not sure if this has been covered elsewhere, but if there’s anything worse than a Tory cabinet, it’s a Tory cabinet sharing an in-joke

The budget has allocated £4.7m to the factories that make poppies?!?! What the actual fuck?!

I make that 4.7 million respects.

Actually, inspired by that plastic consumption thread, think how much plastic is used for poppies. Millions of 'em, the green bit and the black bit in the middle, thrown away come november 12th!

Is it fair that my parents and grandparents’ generations had to live through and fight in a couple of world wars?

All people 50 and older really do think they fought in WW2 don’t they.

Will the stamp duty just look good for the Tories, while house prices will immediately go up to compensate? Has this already been dealt with ITT?

Will people be more interested in selling their fucking house now so that we can finally find somewhere and get moved?

The OBR actually seem to assume it’s going to push house prices up by more than the decrease in tax, aside from at 500k where there’ll be a “cliff edge”.

Wonderful! So less tax for the middle classes and everyone’s even more screwed on house prices :ok_hand:t4:

That’s the spirit!

Imagine how dastardly the meetings must be where they come up with this shit
