Prefer this to the original - cello is a very autumnal instrument eh?
Find myself listening to lots of Sam Amidon, Phosphorescent, Julie Byrne, Ewan MacColl, David Thomas Broughton at this time of year.
I know I’m probably in the minority with this but Siamese Dream is way more of an autumn album than a summer album.
Well, it’s a marvelous night for a moondance
With the stars up above in your eyes
A fantabulous night to make romance
'Neath the cover of October skies
And all the leaves on the trees are falling
To the sound of the breezes that blow
You know I’m tryin’ to please to the calling
Of your heartstrings that play soft and low
Also a fantabulous time to get a Covid booster if you’re eligible, soz Van.
Despite the title this is a wonderful Autumnal song. Kingsbury Manx always seemed to release their albums around this time of year so I always associate them with the season.
