I’ll be back on the 23rd September, once Autumn starts to let you know how I feel.

Love autumn. Always have. Best season.

Time is sad, sad shit.

Also barring the times the weather just broke leaving us far too hot, this Summer has basically been a bit of a damp squib

oh, fantastic, the descent into 7 months of cold, wet, dark misery starts! oh, but the leaves!

You’re forgetting the pumpkin spiced lattés!

Love Autumn (only bettered by Winter). Can’t wait for the dark mornings, wrapping up warm, eating lots more pies and other Autumnal food.

Meteorological Autumn started on Sunday. Haven’t read the thread

Has anyone actually ever drank one of them though

This was the only hymn I ever drew any enjoyment from singing in school. Apart from the one that went “I was cold I was naked were you there, were you there”, of course.

September - Often quite warm and sunny but not sweaty and gross. Great!
October - My birthday month. Great!
November - Wedding anniversary month. Great!
December - Christmas and my wife’s birthday. Great!
January - Fuck off January.

Autumn is my top season

Listening to sonic youth and that

Can’t really get past the fact theres a stupid fucking brexit slammed right in the middle of it this year.

All for the crunchy leaves, fog, squirrels, autumn tests and finally getting to dig out my German army parka again. AND I DON’T CARE WHO KNOWS IT.

Ah the migratory squirrel. Nothing like seeing a flock of them come in from the northlands.

I love this part of autumn, but up here it’s a bit tainted by the knowledge that winter is coming.

Via helicopter.

Just as I get excited about just having a sheet for cover on the bed in Summer, I am looking forward to putting the light duvet back on soon (and then the big cosy one on in about a months time).

Not a fan of dark, short days but I am a big fan of snuggling on the sofa while it’s dark and rainy outside and not feeling guilty about it, like I do when it’s hot and sunny.
Going on a Summer holiday in early November :sunglasses:

Imagining this sung by Julie Andrews to the tune of My Favourite Things and “fuck off November” is really working well in this context

Cricket and conkers and leaves in September
Ages til Christmas so fuck off November
Colder and wetter with longer evenings
Autumn is easily far worse than Spring
