More annoyed by ranking second antman better than the first

Let’s all accept that the time travel doesn’t hold up if you think about it, but that’s ok.

I liked it a lot :+1: First third being a contemplation on coping (or not) with grief seriously got me. Time heist caper was extremely fun. Fortnite dance of a third act was hugely gratifying. Yeah, it has a lot of mistakes that’d ruin a merely mortal film, but you cannot compare this to anything else, there’s been nothing like it before and nobody else will ever pull this off again.

I’ll state a possibility controversial opinion here; I think the film universe Captain America and Iron Man are the best versions of those characters. I say this as somebody who’s never really enjoyed an Iron Man comic, but really likes a lot of Captain America comics. Really love that he gets to go back and live a life with Peggy.

The “she’s got help” moment was very badass. If I was a cinema whooper, I’d have whooped right there with God as my witness.

that list is bizarre, the top and bottom ends of the list make some sense but all the ones in between just seem like a random order. think the first two x-men films, half of the spidermen films deserve better

That bit with the whole MCU female superhero/character lineup (well, bar the ones who died)

The best 3 spidermen ranked 3, 9 and 14, in the right order? Think thats the one thing the list completely nails.

When you get to about 20 downwards, dont think its easy to separate many of them tbh.

Both good (in idea) and bad (in execution/lack of subtlety), so abstaining.

seemed implausible that they’d all suddenly be there together

just don’t think the original spider man should be at 36, or that the first reboot should be at 44, they are better than some of the weaker MCU films that rank higher

As an aside, and this probably really niche even amongst people who’ve read some comics; if they replace Kate Bishop with Clint Barton’s daughter I’m gonna unleash some serious wrath.

I cried, op

What if the Bartons adopt?

Wait, they named her in the movie. Nevermind.

also my opinion on it isn’t that important but something about it felt a bit patronising

did they kill black widow cos scarlett johansson doesn’t wanna be in the next ones?
100x better and more interesting character than the stupid ‘loves his family’ hawk eye

If they had killed off Hawkeye nobody would have cared, not surprising they went for a character people (possibly) care about more

Mrs Z liked it, and who the hell am I to argue with her.

Nah it was just funny and silly.

Felt extremely forced considering they already did the same thing in IW

How did antman realise the quantum realm could be used for time travel, sure he observed time moved differently in there but was there any actual time travel in the antmen?

Just got back from cinema. Hadn’t seen most of the MCU films, and only the first avengers so was a bit clueless going into it (only really went to see it cause my friend wanted to) - but I really enjoyed it. Made me want to watch all the Thor films, he’s fucking hilarious. Love the Hulk as well. Kind of thought aw fuck when I heard the words time travel but thought it was all done quite well. Whole cinema clapped when the film finished which I was unsure about lol, I imagine it was probs more emotional for them though than me. The ending was rather bittersweet

So yeah, good stuff - bunch of superhero films I need to go and watch now ffs
