oh right. not a massive star wars fan, but I thought the first act was pretty fucking sweet. the second act killed it for me, though.

I enjoyed The Force Awakens a lot. It wasn’t the most inventive film and I don’t think you can defend it from comments about lack of inventiveness, but after those prequels I just didn’t want it to make me cringe that I was even watching it, so it was well above that level.

He sounds like a nightmare, though! Some of the others in this thread, I can kind of interpret them maybe being aloof out of being extremely nervous or something, but maaaaaan.
