I’ve spoken to loads of people over the last two years who are all unconnected but have suddenly discovered this lost classic! The Marketing Dept at Penguin deserve awards! They all said it was a bit boring but well written and beautiful in places. I would totally agree - it’s one of those books I’m glad I’ve read but don’t have any desire to reread.

never been but i know some people are really enthusiastic about going to ikea as soon as it opens because they serve breakfast and unlimited hot drinks for £2 or something daft like that.

every time i go in, it’s always at dusk and then i come out all disorientated

(think they do oap meal deals too? always hoards of old people there for a day out)
