ING only came into existence in 1991, after a merger of an insurance company and a bank. They have been sponsoring the Dutch FA since 1996.

had a quick look and yep that does appear to have been their badge between 1938-45

and the ING logo is intentionally modelled after the Dutch FA or is it a general piece of Dutch iconography (or both, I guess)?

Heraldic rules in Scotland mean shields in crests can be a problem ( Airdrie and Ayr have been told to change their badges). This guy has set about doing some redesigns.

Would just like to make it abundantly clear that the Shrewsbury badge in the OP is not our current one and I was involved in a campaign to get it removed. So, so, shit.
