Used to think this then I saw Anohni at Primavera and she was phenomenal with I think Arca and Oneohtrix Point Never (might be wrong on this) and the Catalan Orchestra. Best performance of an extremely tepid weekend.

yeah i guess the voice is more extreme but the songs are simpler?
Think the lastest Joanna Newsom album might be a good intro.
Ys and Have One On Me are good but every song is basically an epic and HOON is a very long album (boxset on vinyl).
Milk Eyed Mender is a lot more direct and has great short songs but conversely has a few songs that will not go down well if you dislike quirk or certain vocal affectations.
Bono hasn’t got an objectionable voice though
