Probably a bit too obvious, but I was a massive Radiohead fanboy up until In Rainbows and then just kind of didnt listen to anything since. Can’t see it happening now either, I can’t see myself finding the same connection with the new material.

yeah each of their last few releases (maybe back to Mr Beast) have 1 or 2 good tracks but the rest of the LPs often feel pretty uninspired.

Not true, last one was decent if you ignored that shitty Party Line song

SMASHING FUCKING PUMPKINS. favourite band growing up now i feel embarrassed about liking the old stuff due to how shite the new stuff is.

Hmm. For me, there are a few decent songs on there (Enter Sylvia Plath, Nobody’s Empire), a few howlers (Party Line, Ever Had A Little Faith, Perfect Couples) and then a whole bunch that just feel like B&S by numbers. It’s not a terrible album but it’s just… 6/10

ugh, agreed. especially frustrating as Corgan occasionally plays a new song live which sounds decent and has a bit of the old magic but then always fucks it in the studio or just bins it off altogether.

I quite like Ever had a little Faith…

Its his flat, monotone singing too - mixed WAY too high for such a shitty voice. I actually wound the windows up in my car when trying out the new record recently due to embarrassment. Same with the last weezer album which was enjoyable then a string of songs camecon that made me think i was listening to McFly

This^

Came here to say both bands

Mate, the latest Death Grips album is probably my favourite one of theirs

I mean bands you suddenly lose interest in where the logic behind it isn’t obvious. So not someone like Guns N Roses where they haven’t done anything interesting in decades. But to be honest, you could just fill the thread with pictures of Billy Corgan and I wouldn’t mind.

Depeche Mode

Was a HUGE fan up to & including Songs of Faith & Devotion. But when Alan Wilder left he took all the tunes with him and it’s been slim pickings ever since.

Sometimes I Wish I Were An Eagle is my favourite. Haven’t been into anything he’s done since that much.

Kayo Dot - still love them as a band, but checking out a new record is more of a duty nowadays. Not been crazy about the last couple.

I think they’re more inconsistent than anything though. There were a couple duffs before Hubrardo
