Yeah the only hope is he becomes bankrupt or he does a Goldberg so his kids can see him live.

The worry would be that they just do first two album stuff though.

Eighties Matchbox B-line Disaster (Horse of the Dog-era line-up) (8/10)
Oasis (Morning Glory-era line-up) (8/10)
Horse Vomit (1/10)
Kraftwerk (classic line-up) (3/10)

I think 8/10 is pretty high though.

I saw Codeine at ATP - was good but wasn’t all that.

Pale Saints (5/10)[/quote]
Weirdly, I can’t remember if I ever saw Pale Saints but I loved that first single so much I doubt I’d have missed the opportunity.

Oh what. 11 years?!

There were some brilliant ATP gigs at Koko round that time.

Always wanted to see Botch live. I had to turn down the opportunity to see them twice when they were active as I’m epileptic. Strobey cunts.

Never got a chance to see them play Are You Alone?, one of my favourite albums of the last few years

Life Without Buildings 3/10

Sounds like bullshit to me.

Robert Bell worked on the last Paul Buchanan album but neither of them have spoken to PJ Moore in about 15 years. No chance.

Although a new Buchanan album I would like. Loved Mid Air.

REM - 2/10
White Stripes - 1/10
Liz Phair UK tour - 5/10?
Marion - 7/10 (was gonna see em but then Jaime got thrown in prison)

Think I’m showing my ignorance of Blue Nile band politics there - Went back to check the tweets I saw and it looks like a few people have taken Paul Buchanan mentioning ‘a new album is two-thirds done’ as a Blue Nile release rather than a solo one. Can’t find any confirmation either way.

Ah I see! Yeah a full Blue Nile album has a 0/10 chance if you ask me. More likely a Buchanan solo record. If it’s 2/3 done then I guess we’re looking at… ooh… another 3 years until it’s released?

They definitely did officically split. Although only announced it a few years down the line. Euros has said a few time if GZM did ever reform it would be without him. But then he’s said all sorts of things over the years so who knows… It would only really be Gorky’s for me if it was the 91 to 99 line up pre John leaving. And that ain’t ever gonna happen I don’t think.

GZM without Euros?

SFA without Gruff.

Radiohead without Thom.

Sufjan without Sufjan.

Absurd.

So you’re saying there’s a chance?

Jellyfish (0.1/10)
Apes and Androids (2/10)
Oceansize (3/10)
The Receiving End of Sirens (3/10)
Kiss Kiss (4/10)
The River Empires (5/10)
Fair to Midland (6/10)

Yeah, I don’t think there’ll ever be an Oceansize reunion. With his two solo endeavours and his Biffy touring guitarist duties, Mike appears to be living the perfect life.

Imagine if Jellyfish reformed. I don’t know much about them (beyond the music), so why are the chances so remote?
