bands you WILL travel to a different country for (in future)

all timers you’ve never seen before, or going to see a band in their home country with all the energy that brings - whatever the reason

the next time The Cure or Neil Young play anywhere in Europe, I’m there. You’d expect Cure to be easier to manage just in the UK but I’m taking no chances after missing a bunch of chances (/walking away from them at Prima to go see Wavves nooo)

Sir Neil, if you fly across the Atlantic I will be there so help me god

probs one for me too, not all timer but super underrated

Yeah, just feels criminally underrated and no sign of her getting popular enough to tour internationally any time soon. I’ve been listening the shit out of UTOPIA NOW!, easily album of the year for me so far.

hopefully a support slot for someone bigger in the same vein at least (The Beths?)

I’ve ticked off all my faves that aren’t dead or never playing again apart from Taylor Swift but i’ll wait until she has a fall from grace and does an indy dads tour.

Really do fancy doing one of those daft ones in vegas like when we were young though

I’ll consider going to most places in Europe next time Bradford Cox plays a show (Atlas Sound or whatever new project he might have in the future).

I’ll always go and see (French singer-songwriter) Dominique A when he tours France.

Sooner or later I’m going to cave and go to America to see Ween (they’ve said they’ll never play outside the States again because half their crew has criminal records and can’t travel as a result).

Hopefully next time Radiohead play some Roman ampitheatre in the south of France

Oh and I’d love to do a Yo La Tengo Hanukkah show or two but that’s a lot less likely.

Radiohead, if they release another album and if they pull another stunt like playing the Roundhouse as their only UK venue

Bjork gigs in this country are stupidly expensive, so I can see myself planning a holiday around a foreign gig at some point in future

as sad as the cost of some gigs here is, it’s then funny to go on Reddit and see American fans saying things like it’s cheaper to fly for a weekend in Paris/London/Rome and see Beyonce there than it is to see her in their own state

Will go to England to see Spoon if they come over soon and don’t play Ireland. Annoyed I couldn’t make their London show last year.

That tends to be the furthest I travel for gigs though.

Always regret not going to that Tom Waits gig in Dublin. Doubt it’ll ever happen again, but I’d travel for it

Frank Ocean with caveats - would need to not be one of the early dates on the tour in case he cancels because the gig isn’t ready or something, and would have to know that there was an actual show to see like in 2017 and not last year’s Coachella fiasco.

Banned myself from travelling to the UK for gigs at the start of this year cos it’s gotten so expensive

Went to Paris instead for Soulwax and had a great time
