Eden, when will he grow a pair, eh?

They look a bit similar if you squint, so perhaps they’ve brought him in as a Eden double to send around the world for media and sponsorship $$$

Kinda like how Tom Hanks’ bro does all his voiceover stuff.

Sterling to Arsenal on Thursday as part of a Sanchez swap, runs his knackers off during the Malta game and scores a hattrick. Arsenal fans spend all weekend saying they’re gonna win the league, then in the 2nd minute of the Slovakia game he breaks both legs

tbf that wouldn’t be very nice for our world cup chances tho

It’s more likely that Wenger will call a press conference Thursday, declare himself Arsenal’s new number 9 and bang in 30 goals to lead them to the title than it is Sanchez being involved in any kind of swap deal, especially for someone actually decent like Sterling. I will eat my hat if it happens*

Buy one then eat

Can we expand this to the whole club?

Arsenal IMO need to:

  • Fire Wenger immediately, and bring in a preferably South American or Italian nutcase as manager for the rest of the season
  • Sell most of their squad - Sanchez, Ozil, Ramsey, Wilshire, Giroud, Walcott, Elneny, Xhaka can all go
  • Have a clean out of the backroom staff and review things like conditioning and injury recovery
  • Drastically down-size the club megastore to improve the image of their fans
  • Blanket ban on their players using social media. Club social media channels need a big rethink too
  • Dissolve club and merge with The Tottingham Hotspurts to make a Norf Lahndan superclub and save us all the effort of caring

I’m aware he’s no Gareth Barry, but why is Elneny prominent on these lists? From what little I’ve seen of him he seems like a decent enough squad option, somebody a good manager could get Herrera-shaped performances out of. Coquelin, Walcott and Ozil are the ones I’d pick out as players who will underperform on ridiculous wages for as long as they’re allowed.

At this point it’s difficult to know where Ozil ends and Wenger letting Ozil be Ozil begins, if that makes sense. He strikes me as someone who’ll get 25 assists in a season, but you absolutely have to build the team around him because under no circumstances is he going to track back.

Sky now reporting the deal City and Arsenal have been discussing is Sanchez plus £20m for Sterling, not vice versa, which would make a bit more sense.

why would City want to get rid of Sterling? is it just cos they want Sanchez?

Sanchez almost definitely off to City in a straight cash deal, Sterling is very talented but probably not the solution to Arsenals problems. Wenger will either try and go for Lemar again or more likely promote a youngster.

50 mios is probably decent value for both sides. Arsenal get rid of someone who’s obviously checked out, has a year left on his contract and is about to hit 30, City get a proven world class premier league. Obviously not a position where they’ve got a need but he’d improve anyone in the league. They still need a centre back though

Another suspension?

And Mitro making a dubious far right gesture in the photo.

I think we discussed this on Saturday @Aggpass.

Wouldn’t it be brilliant if Pep started Sanchez at CB and Wenger turned Sterling into the new Antonio Valencia?

(I think IIRC his celebration was slapping the badge while pointing up to the crowd, that photo’s done him no favours though)

Imagine if not a single one of these want-away players got their move

VVD, Coutinho, Sanchez…they’ll be coming back from International duty like

Leicester have apparently offered us Demarei Grey plus £10million for Andros Townsend.

Seems too good to be true.

Really pleased to see my team have developed a bit of sass today.

Still think we’d be mad to turn down a £10m offer for the lad, given we paid buttons for him and he’s still not done anything particularly spectacular yet.
