A combination of jetlag and thunder and lightning kept me awake until 4.30am (all of which my girlfriend slept through), but I’ve got myself out of bed otherwise I’ll never make it to work tomorrow.

Gunna make some spicy eggs. Clean my bike then ride my bike. @rich-t @plasticniki @japes @thewarn @discobot how easy is it to sort out your alignment yourself? My rear derailleur is being funny since my trip into a bush, should I just sucker it up for today and take it to my LBS next week?

I hate anything to do with front or rear mech alignment. the two screws on the rear mech should adjust the alignment a little, but that depends on if the hanger is bent or not. In short, I’d whack it to the local LBS or have @japes or @grievoustim sort it.

Yep. I find gear adjustments really fiddly generally. Front mech I can do, but the rear, urgh. No matter how many videos I watch it still doesn’t make sense.

We’re in Luxembourg now. About 70km to go. We’ve got a few lumpy bits but from about 55km onwards it’s all downhill. Can’t wait.

Couldn’t sleep properly (curry) - so got up at half 3 and played GTA V for about 2 hours. Went to bed and had on-and-off sleep til half 9.

On work cover all day and the evening. Springwatch is on tonight though! :slight_smile:

woke up to a Snapchat from a friend informing me that, after 6 years* i have FINALLY made it into the top 3 of the online Countdown rankings and am the first woman to do this in the site’s history (9 years). i am 2nd and only 30 points behind #1, which isn’t very much at all… (*although i hardly ever play humans so am usually not on the rankings at all)

not going to lie, i’m pretty fucking chuffed :blush:
