Up until a few days ago I’d only heard of Wet Leg and Pink Panthress but then I got in my friends car as Radio 1 were doing a countdown of all these artists

Been absolutely rinsing pinkpantheress the last few months. She’s fucking great. Love the whole aesthetic, love the wooziness, love the everyday kind of content of the lyrics.
Read someone saying her delivery is half seductive, half threat which might be completely reductive and not a little sexist but i definitely get what they meant.

PinkPantheress is my musical fencesitter seemingly. I can’t commit to liking or disliking. The amount I like Pain is the exact amount I dislike Just For Me (both moderate).

Quite like the Guided by Voices approach to songs tho.

Wet Leg seem annoying but might need to listen a bit more

Liked Yard Act at first but they got a bit annoying over the course of an EP, so they might be the opposite

The sound of 2022 is going to be Soul Glo though so they are clearly wrong

I also found PinkPanthress’ album very meh. The hype was intense, but it really just didn’t do anything for me. Each to their own. :man_shrugging:
