Really liked the first two hours, found the last hour extremely patience testing.
Nuts film, loved it.
Yeah I watched this, didn’t know there was a thread
I love Hereditary and I LOVE Midsommar.
This was quite an interesting bloated little shit of a film.
Aster’s not really had a lot to say in his films so far really has he and what he has to say here seems pretty unoriginal. But he made a completely bizarre and imaginative film out of it so fair play to him. Do respect the ambition.
Some of the visual elements were fantastic. Loved all of the sounds of nature and especially all of the bird calls peppered throughout - didn’t really have any significant pay off though sadly.
Really liked the animated section and thought the daughter was excellent, really injected nightmare energy into the whole act.
Think I liked the middle hour quite a lot, but I know that I disliked the first and last hours.
Should add that I’m really glad I saw it in the cinema though. Will stay with me for quite a while. Not really stopped thinking about it since. Kind of like when I saw Titane
Found somewhere to watch this. Going to take the plunge tonight
Terrific news!
Really hope it’s one of those ones you inexplicably like!
I would rate the chances of that as being “very, very low”
Going in open minded so you never know! But I also think I will very much dislike it
Haha, so do I! Far too self-indulgent. I’m just trying to hold out hope that I’m not the only one!
Hold onto that thought, it might help the film over-perform!
Ohh I’m notngoing to the cinema to see it so I’ll probs be posting in here during it

Wasn’t expecting to be proper bored by your post about it
must mean I have a good track record of exciting posts, cheers!
Exactly!
I Am Afraid - to say that that film was a load of shite
