Get an electric screwdriver, costs about £10, sleep on floor until then

think this job is designed for a drill but i don’t have one

probably wouldn’t trust myself with one either

put my mattress on the empty floor last night. no room now that the bugger’s built

THANK FUCK

Forgive my smudgy broken camera

Still a couple of sticky uppy screws like this that I couldn’t get fixed but fuck it

The middle leg is shorter to allow for flex. If it’s gonna be on a wooden floor, put a felt pad on it to dampen any tapping noise (or, aye, a beer may under it  ).

Those protruding slat screws are prolly gon’ fuck yr mattress up. No-one wants a vulnerably compromised mattress. Get the damn screws tightened!

In other bed news: Made MiniWza’s toddler bed yesterday. Eight bolts, six screws. Done. And cute as cute thing. First night in it tonight, graduating from the cot.

carpet, and it seems to be alright from a quick lie down on it so far aye

aye i’m planning to try them again but given up for the night. although the only protruding ones left are on one side, and i think the mattress has ended up beside them rather than on top of them. might be alright.

14 bolts, 26 screws here. ya bastid.
