Been listening to The Cure's discography from the beginning

Had only previously listened to Disintegration (one of my favourite albums) and the obvious singles.

Here are the notes I’ve got in my phone so far:

Three Imaginary Boys
Meat Hook a bit like Hitchin’ A Ride by Green Day
It’s Not You sounds like Green Day
Three Imaginary Boys sounds like Zombie by The Cranberries

The Top
Shake Dog Shake sounds like Happy Mondays
The Birdmad Girl sounds like Barbarism Begins At Home
Dressing Up reminds me of Gorillaz

Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me
Catch sounds like Pete Doherty
If Only Tonight We Could Sleep sounds a bit like Climbing Up The Walls
A Thousand Hours - Stellastarr built a career off this song

Cheers

Got up to the one after Wish I think so far. Mustn’t be any other songs that remind me of other songs

We’re enemies now.

It’s almost like, a Cure listening club! Better late than never.

And they’re both top tier songs.

It was a, “which came first, the chicken or the egg?” comment rather than either/both being in any way dull. I have a vague memory Bob claimed he wrote it before he’d heard New Order’s track, even though it came out 3 months later.

Never listened to a Cure album, never will

It’s no great hardship to make the time to listen to a Cure album. There’s one that’s only 17 seconds.

That’s a very begrudging like.
