Good day to bury the lead!

Seriously??

Heard Tesco are doing kombucha from next week…

Seriously though this makes sense actually seen a couple of pubs with more “mainstream” craft selections offering VC this week. So thought they must have got a distribution deal

Wild … I guess things have escalated in craft beer generally over the last 2 years and weirder things are becoming more and more normal (still remember the first big Tesco announcement and it including, gasp, an actual sour??). But that said, and even knowing how popular they clearly are across the country, they can’t help but feel like my little weird unknown brewery still - so this is kinda bizarre

They must be contract brewing too

Think that reads quite well tbf, though obviously I bet plenty of breweries said similar stuff before they sold out/watered down quality etc

Though imagine if they’d done it as a Lidl/Aldi exclusive instead, that would have been fun

This is a really interesting article, tbf. Nails the tension between being a small brewer and an expanding business without sounding preachy, “it’s not you, it’s me” or gfy to anyone who disagrees. “The bigger the dream, the more important the team” is genuinely fucking awful, though. A phrase that should be catapulted into the sun without further ado.

Doesnt talk about how they plan to brew the Tesco numbers and amounts they were selling to trade.

I would have guessed they were nearing capacity pre-corona

Think they pretty much confirmed everyone bar one person who originally worked there had left, and the facility was way too big and they were reducing it greatly.
