Took my dad to the Basketmakers first time he visited me in Brighton, he was impressed with it. Somehow still a great pub atmosphere even when you are sitting cross-legged on the pavement on the other side of the road.

Yep, I have always loved it too. Though admittedly, I normally go when relatively drunk, and often it is on my birthday. Last time I went was the weekend before lockdown and it was empty. We had some really good frozen margaritas, though we probably should have checked the price before ordering refills.

It at least is the best place to go that I know in easy walking distance.

My weekly haul.

I went out of my comfort zone (slightly).

Top left is an Almond and Cherry Turf Cake Mild whatever that is.

Next to that is a Carrot Pale Ale.

I don’t like sours and thought I’d try one. The Pastore is a Summer Pudding Pastry Sour (again whatever that’s is).

Again no Pressure Drops. Don’t grass me up.

This is great. From M&S. Guy who had to age-check my purchase saw this and a couple of Paulaners and said “Oof, decent selection there”. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:
