Went to T*** R**** for the for the first time in 15 months and, not gonna lie lads, the cask Cwtch went down an absolute treat. The T*** R**** keg offerings looked appalling though so stuck to Kernel Pale and Keller Pills after that.

Went on Tuesday and did exactly the same. Then went to Bubs where they had Steady Rolling Man on, and some Verdant, Pollys, LHG etc.

I remember Cwtch being pretty sound whenever I had it tbf, before they veered off into lactose city

I’ll never tire of Cromarty and this beer in particular. Far too few breweries are willing to pack in the early hop addition bitterness just now. Smells like a pine forest and tastes of dank heavenly nectar. West Coast IPAs will never die

Had a really nice draft fill of Pure Phase by Full Circle.

Lovely grapefruit and peach.

Also a massive shout out to how it was recorded: Jason had made two entirely separate mixes of the album he couldn’t choose between, so aha! he made mono mixes of both, confined one entirely to the L channel, the other to the R channel and made the stereo album that way. But because it was all recorded to analogue tape and they couldn’t keep the two machines in sync, in practice they had to record them together 8 bars at a time, which was the longest they could manage before everything became hopelessly dissonant and out of phase. I think this contributes to the weird, woozy feeling of the album hugely - again, listening to Pure Phase on headphones is an utter delight.
