Being a company director and shareholder

Does anyone know how/where one would go to get advice on this subject? I think I am going to have to resign a company directorship and then sue the company. FML.

Yes.

Definitely feel like this is the sort of scenario the average DiSser finds themselves in on a regular basis

Talk to your HR director.

Oh, that might be worth watching.

It’s not to do with where I work. It’s to do with me being a company director, resigning, but still owning an equal number of shares for which the remaining directors will have to pay me if they don’t want to me to be a shareholder still.

Barry?

hi, PM me.

What do your company’s articles of association say? If there are ‘bad leaver’ provisions, then you resigning will usually trigger an automatic transfer of your shares for nominal value. Not good. So do nothing until you know what the deal is under the articles, or any shareholders agt that may be in place.
