Don’t be silly, Kissinger will never die.
Not gonna say that without Berlusconi there wouldn’t have been Trump and Johnson, but he certainly laid down the blueprint for them to follow.
Think eternal life might be Kissinger’s actual punishment. Shuffling around this world he made worse by his presence forever, his form growing ever more decrepit but never finding release from it, forced to watch the empire he helped build grow ever more degraded and diseased.
The “Controversies” section of his Wikipedia page was too big so they had to make it a separate article
Thanks, that makes it clearer / better.
FWIW I think there’s a general lack of courage/ability (?) in standing against awful policies/positions in democracies. People tread carefully (or not at all) when criticising the politics of those the electorate voted for. Always thinking of the next electoral cycle and not alienating voters. It’s always going to be safer to criticise a politician for being a wrongun personally. And (without knowing much about Italian politics) I just assumed he wasn’t uniquely awful with regards his policies and that he will have had people in his govts who were worse and quietly got on with doing bad shit idk
