My ‘anecdote’ wasn’t meant to highlight a derth of good music, but how for a lot of us it was a pretty dark year. Warn’s list is brilliant, but there’s not a lot on it that I liked much, hence my comment. LFO I’d forgotten about, that’s a proper classic no question. I’m grateful to be reminded of De La Soul Is Dead, but I wonder if that should’ve been mentioned in that other thread, huge first album sales, much smaller second ones? I excepted KLF, Massive and MBV, and of course Nevermind, and I’m grateful to be reminded that The Low End Theory came out that year which I still listen to and is supreme. But a lot of that list did nothing for me. For me, just my opinion. For me the list confirmed what I thought, as there was little that was truly innovative on it, for me. Jeez Mr Binary, anyone would think you’re just looking for an argument
