Best Albums of The Year 2018 - Listageddon

The arctic monkeys at 2 is pretty poor

When I saw them recently it’s noticeable how their crowd is pretty much 40+, very few ‘kids’ there.

It’s a fairly boring album.

I wouldn’t go quite that far personally, but I don’t see it in the top ten albums of the year.

I thought their EPs were better tbh, and they were fun live. But yeah, ranking this high is a bit odd.

‘French Press’ is a still a bloody choon though.

EDIT by @1101010 This is the first post from a similar thread merged in. I will post at the end of the merge using the Admin colour again. All posts in the block come from that thread.

As is tradition, Rough Trade are the first to go:

NOT even MID november

(Nice to see the Mark Peters inclusion)

Rough Trade are to end of year lists what Sunderland are to General Election nights…

no Skee Mask = bad list

Quite Boring imo

Maybe I’m being really thick, or it’s how it loaded on my phone, but that just seemed like a bunch of records rather than a list… Is it ascending or descending?

Have to make sure the Rough Trade exclusive versions are on sale in time for Xmas like.
edit: 33 out of their top 100 had Rough Trade Exclusive versions. Worked out well for them.

Good to see John Prine on that list.

Just one of those amazing coincidences, I suppose

Good to see Daniel Blumberg in there.

Absolutely refuse to believe that Richard Russell album is worth any kudos and most certainly not going to ever listen to it
