It was good and the house/villa in Brno where it all was set looked interesting and creepy

I don’t even get this pleasure as I get That Stupid Little Train™ that comes every 45 minutes.

Can everyone make sure they say where they live first please otherwise it’s a bit meaningless, thanks

Also Glasgow:

Best - Amazing food, close to some of the best nature in the world, get called ‘pal’ a lot
Worst - Buses are a bit crap and the weather is definitely very crap

Trento, Italy
Best

  • surrounded by the dolomites which are pretty stunning
  • climate seems surprisingly great
  • lots of great cafes, bars etc
  • enough students and diversity for it not to feel too small town.

Worst

  • like all of Italy bit of a cultural desert when it comes to music and film I like.

They’re mostly harmless, if a little smelly. Also, you missed the slackrope walkers. Most of them live in Brighton though, so they’re very much entitled to be a part of it.

Whereas the stag / hen do lot come from out of town, get horribly drunk, are sick all down West Street, then bugger off again.

You missed off the butter museum.

Malborough, South Hams, Devon

Good:
Amazing scenery and countryside
Incredibly peaceful
Beaches, woods, moors all within a shortish distance
No crime or that
Strong sense of community

Bad:
Very remote
Very limited public transport etc
Tory as fuck
Huge amounts of second homes and awful holidayers in the summer.
Not much to do really.

Inverness

Best:

  • Surrounded by snow-capped mountains and can access some of the most beautiful landscape in the UK
  • Housing and general cost of living is pretty cheap
  • People are friendly and seem more content with their lot in life
  • Can easily go skiing when the weather’s right
  • Decent pubs and bars with bands playing
  • Great to walk along the river when the sun’s out

Worst:

  • Little choice when it comes to renting, not many options for students etc so people often rent rooms in houses as a lodger
  • Not a lot to do aside from outdoor/adventure activities
  • About 3-and-a-half hours from Edinburgh or Glasgow either by train, coach or car.
  • Fewer jobs
  • Quite culturally homogeneous
