Letβs all list our favourite FILMS (and TV shows if you like) of 2022.
Doesnβt really matter how many you want to put down. Itβs just for fun and that isnβt it.

01 She Said
04 Thirteen Lives
05 The Woman King
06 Prey

13 Top Gun: Maverick
14 Living
15 The Menu
16 The Batman
17 The Northman
18 The Sea Beast
Strange year. Very rough order.
Couldnβt decide on a best so had an equal top three.
Not seen Avatar 2, Pinocchio or Glass Onion yet
I expect Everything Everywhere to creep up the list after a rewatch.

17 Am I Being Unreasonable?
A quick look at Letterboxd and I havenβt given a single 2022 movie a rating higher than 4/5.
On the other hand Iβve watched numerous TV shows that would be ranked 4.5 or 5. Shame I donβt have an app for TV show logging. I thought Just Watch might add something like that but I guess thatβs not itβs core purpose.
Will take a bit of effort to come up with a Top 10 TV.
I was gonna do this thread! Grumble grumble
Films:
Avatar: The Way of Water
(Semi joking, will likely think of a full list later, but itβll be top)
How do people remember everything theyβve watched, read or listened to? Wish I could.
Monthly playlist of new releases, write down a rough top 5 for each month as I go and submit it to the relevant thread
Books are just in a note on my phone
Films on Letterboxd
Zero memory skills
top ten films in some sort of rough order would be something like:
everything everywhere
top gun maverick
rrr
doc strange 2
the woman king
the northman
emily the criminal
prey
kimi
jackass forever
tv, the best was the bear by miles. canβt remember what other shows i watched this year. the english was quite good, maybe that can go second. and the kanye documentaries, they were good
Keep an ongoing Notes page on my phone for films, TV, theatre and gigs. Have a little system. Itβs nice and really helps me have a sense of the year.
Oh yeah. Forgot Kimi. Good film that

Still got loads of stuff to watch
The only new TV Iβve watched this year has been Our Flag Means Death (excellent), What We Do In The Shadows (good) and The Midnight Club (fine)
have you watched rrr? reckon youβd like it, if you can find the 5 hours or whatever it is to watch it
Films Iβll go with roughly:
Mothers is pretty way out ahead there, loved that film - whole top 5 is great though. Wouldnβt have thought Liquorice Pizza would make it there, but it did have some great moments and just lots of fun vibes and looks, and thatβll do it for me over something self serious that didnβt quite land
I scored Flee well but it hasnβt really stuck with me, and Aftersun really didnβt get to me like it seemed to for most people. The opening of Barbarian was fantastic but hard to balance that against how I felt about the second half. Decision to Leave also had good stuff in but left me a bit cold so hard to get too enthused about trying to fit it in 10th or anything
I always use Christmas with mum to catch up on some of the best reviewed ones we missed at the time, so should have added in at least Cmon Cmon and Red Rocket in the next week.
Banshees and Triangle of Sadness are two other obvious ones I meant to see that I havenβt got to yet
Did you mean to rank them 15-29?
bloody formatting on this site, eh?
