Love/Hate was ok-ish for a couple of seasons but just descending into hammy shite by the end.

Bizarrely one of our best shows is Reeling in the Years, which is just archive footage of all the news stories in a particular year, soundtracked with music from that year. Pretty much how I learned about the Troubles as a child.

Haven’t seen it in years but used to enjoy Soupy Norman, which was the same episode of some Eastern European soap every week dubbed over with Irish accents into a different ‘story’ every week. I think it’s all on youtube

Fuuuuuuuuck, ‘Soupy Norman’! They did a few for ‘Home and Away’ but they’ve all been deleted off YouTube. Incredible stuff.

‘Reeling In The Years’ is fantastic telly. When back at my parents’ house everything stops for it. Everyone crowds into the kitchen where we all yell at the telly for half an hour, usually at Charlie Haughey/Bertie Ahern/Margaret Thatcher. Quality show.
