Not sure I’ve EVER used a jarred sauce. Used stir in things like pesto and etc. But not a full proper sauce I don’t think.

I don’t think there is anything that comes in a jar that I regularly use.

Peanut butter???

Same. It’s always full of sugar and salt too.

Put contents of stock pot in pan + stir

Tend to only make risottos with actual stock after a roast these days as the stock is the most important part of the meal imo

Can this thread not descend into “omg I can’t believe you don’t make your own _____” snobbery, please

Ah shit just remembered the best “jarred” product I’ve ever used

Can’t seem to find it in the UK. It must be here somewhere. It’s 10/10 with fried rice or some good noodles

I don’t think it’s possible for it not to. I knew what I was getting into though, I’m a big brave boy.

Olives
Probably prefer them to the mega expensive ones in punnets with loads of other stuff lobbed in

disagree

That was definitely the intention

This is my favourite jar atm

Big dollop of that in the pan when frying eggs absolutely nukes a hangover

I’m sorry that I couldn’t make it happen for you

where to get

Chinese supermarket. Massive Chinese student population here so we’ve got loads of proper good ones

People from Yorkshire (and nearby)

Is there a difference between Henderson’s Relish and Worcestershire sauce? I don’t think there is

Henderson’s is much softer and a bit sweeter. Doesn’t have anchovies. Generally not as good but has it’s uses. Nice drizzled on chips

I find both a bit underwhelming, tbf. Used to put it in chilli to try and get a salty kick…but Marmite works 10x better
