Best pound for pound lager

It’s been a long time since I ordered a pint of 1664, but is it at the cheaper end of the market now? Twenty years ago it used to be just below Stella and a fair bit more expensive than the likes of Fosters/Heinekin etc.

Oh, I’m not talking pints for 1664, I view them as a bag o’cans type of drink. £3.75 for a 4 pack, cheers. Wouldn’t order it in the pub unless there was nothing else

It’s Stella or 1664, close the thread

Hot day + ice cold (non-shit) lager, really really works though.

Heineken is the best of the supermarket/off-license/football stadium crowd so I’d say that. Any of the Polish ones nip at the heels.

Think Red Stripe was/is popular because it’s Jamaican

Stella Carlsberg Carling and Foster’s should all be illegal

Still seems to be in some places. But that might be because it usually seems to be subject to some kind of offer (three cans for a tenner, etc).

I will usually go for that it the alternatives are Fosters or similar, tbh.

TBF, will drink anything that isn’t Carlsberg, Foster’s, Carling. Not overly fussed.
