Hard to judge, but as far as DiS is concerned it’s probably ‘Turn On The Bright Lights’ by Interpol.

Just never got round to it.

I’ve heard plenty of songs by all of them, but never heard a studio album all the way through. Might be because I hadn’t really heard of them/was busy being a young contrarian when at my CD-buying peak, and haven’t got round to catching up.

Probably a good thing that there are lots of good records/artists to ‘discover’!

(Indie points are rubbish, it’s like 100 for one Nectar point iirc)

hahaha yes boio

I’ve never heard any music

Actually I have never heard any Dylan album in full - never wished to. not even Blonde on Blonde, supposedly his masterpiece. IMO his best performance on record is “Wigwam” (if you know the track I’m referring to, you will get the joke).

The two albums before Blonde on Blonde are better than Blonde on Blonde

probably for the best

I really liked OK Computer but not Kid A. I think that makes me a little unusual.

“Bitches Brew” by Miles Davis.

It gets so much love - I’ve heard bits of it and decided that I am just not into jazz fusion, or at least his brand of it.

it must surely be one of the highest rated albums that nobody has ever heard. like the gravity’s rainbow of music.

Pick yr favourite Beatles album

I think with a lot of the standard albums that appear on the ‘Greatest of All Time’ lists you end up knowing the album quite well - or at least key tracks - even if you’ve never actually listened to the album all the way through. And sure that may mean that you haven’t really listened to the album as a whole but it’d be a bit weird to say not have enough interest in ‘Heroin’ or ‘Sunday Morning’ to bother with VU&Nico only to discover you actually really like it.

Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Bruce Springsteen…yeah just loads really I haven’t ever felt the need to listen to.

Will occasionally make the effort to try and ‘understand’ why albums are so revered/successful by listening to something I’ve never had the urge to listen to before. Not sure I’ve ever had a eureka moment though tbh - generally the reaction is either - ‘ok i get why this is popular, just not for me’, or ‘good grief this is awful, please let it end soon’.

Even Kind of Blue isn’t that good. I’ve never quite understood why Miles Davis is considered so important. Give me Charles Mingus or Bill Evans any day.

unbelievable!

on the corner is probably my favourite miles record though

I’ve never listened to a Boards of Canada album and I’m not really sure why.

Music Has the Right to Children is the best one I’d say if you’re looking for an intro.

The Best of the Beatles

I haven’t listened to any full Radiohead album since In Rainbows. Saw their Glastonbury set and thought there were some excellent songs there that I’ve never heard - still happy not to bother seeking them out though.
