My favourite memory of this song was meeting a Canadian very hipster looking guy at a party, he was talking about “the donk”, and I explained that I’d been to Bolton the week before. His reponse: “You’ve been to Bolton? That’s the home of the donk.”
I’m happy that I live in a world where this is a sentence that has been said out loud
I donk care if it hurts
I wanna have electro
I wanna perfect bassline
I wanna perfect techno
How about 51 minutes of festive donks for your friends/family members/housemates trapped inside with you during this period of quarantine hell? guaranteed to keep the spirits up! (thank me later)
Every song ever written could be improved with a donk
When the clown hits the beer keg with the baseball bat.
Dun dun dun, DONK! dun dun, dun dun d…
as a lapsed gorillaz fan, this is very very good.
We use the word baseline a lot at work and it’s very hard not to shout BASSLINE! all the time
Nik Kershaw - Don Quixote
One of my faves! Such a weird little banger
I was there in 2009 at the first Blackout Crew practices in a council lock-up in Bolton.
I was working on the bangin’ donk sounds with much patience.
I heard that your band
Is leaving London
And heading to the north west
Because you want to make something real
