Best spice mix if we are doing that too is Chinese five, mostly because it contains cinnamon which we have already established is the leader of all spices.

OTOH maybe Cinnamon is just such a weak boi it needs the additional spices to carry it.

Spices rule. Cumin or paprika probably the best. For worst, can we include herbs? Because I struggle to think of any reason for the use of bay leaves. They impart no flavour whatsoever and you have to fish the fuckers out before you eat.

Get better bay leaves.
