That film is 100% perfect in every way except for twatface Tarantino’s use of the N word

Watched it again recently and it’s even better than I remember

It was re-released and reached number one a few months before the film’s release, when Freddie Mercury died.

EDIT: but yeah - it didn’t really get much radio play in the 15 years between its original release and 1991

Also great

Just an all round great film really

Oh, and another obvious choice but Gimme Shelter opens The Departed so ruddy bloody well.

Various songs from Goodfellas, Trainspotting, Pulp Fiction

Lebowski/Kenny Rogers too natch

The Sound of Silence at the end of this scene absolutely kills me every time

And the ‘Dancing in the sheets’ bit where Lori Singer/Ariel puts her boombox on the car bonnet and all the kids start dancing down at the malt shop/wherever and when her dad ejects the tape there’s the ‘game over’ sound fx bleed from the arcade game one of the kids is playing

Love it

Dirty Dancing

Think that’s my all-time favourite film scene. Weird as it’s one of my least favourite Wes Anderson films

Ah god, they use this song in the remake of maniac. This girl invites a guy round to her flat for a bit of lovin’ and puts that song on. It’s like errr who would ever find that song a turn on after that scene in silence of the lambs??? Next track please!
