Best & Worst Artwork of 2017 Forum User Poll

Some great contributions to the Best & Worst Artwork of 2017 threads over the last year, ranging from the beautiful and the creative to the plain rubbish and the eye-gougingly ugly. So, who was ultimately the worst of the worst and the best of the best?

I’ve made a shortlist of twenty from each category and thumbnails for reference (expand if too small) . These are largely taken from those two threads, but given that we were happier mining the shitty seam, I’ve also added a few other good ones (imho) from last year to the best shortlist.

One vote for each. Votes are not intended to be a reflection of the quality of the music within, just a skin-deep assessment of the artwork. Polls to run for a couple of weeks or until voting dries up.

A winner will then be declared from each category.

How do I vote for kasabian for best?

It just missed out in the shortlisting I’m afraid, but please rest assured that it occupied all of the positions between 21-100 on the long list.

Bump! Any more votes for the best & worst artwork of 2017 poll?

Rubbish is clearly winning out in the battle between rubbish and grotesque for the worst cover art currently. Credit to Cabbage & JAMC for demonstrating just how easily one can become the other.

On the best artwork poll, Thundercat curently leading with his cover channeling his inner Colonel Kurtz (Thunderkurtz?) with a possibly unassailable lead of three votes.

There’s a particularly strong run between Jesca Hoop and Phoebe Bridgers - any would be worthy winners imo. Jesca Hoop’s jpeg has a cool animation thing going on somehow. No idea how this works, but it’s pretty great huh?

I’ll give it all a couple more days.
